Active Bystander Intervention

This program addresses the critical sexual assault and dating violence prevention strategy known as “active bystander intervention.”

Students who complete this program will be able to:

  • Define what it means to be an active bystander.
  • Identify situations in which an active bystander can and should step in to stop a situation from becoming violent.
  • Identify the best active bystander method for themselves – and when a situation requires more than one active bystander to get involved.
  • Be prepared to serve as peer-educators on this program within their campus communities.
