What should I expect?

Who’s invited?
Are you a dedicated student advocate or a member of an organization championing gender or LGBTQ+ equity, human rights, prevention, or survivor support? If so, the Partners In Prevention Summit is the perfect opportunity for you! This event celebrates and empowers premier student leaders committed to fostering safe and inclusive campus communities.
How can I submit a session proposal?
We invite students and nonprofit organizations to submit session proposals showcasing innovative prevention strategies and their work with campus communities. Submit your proposals at THIS FORM by March 16 at 11:59 PM PT. For questions about hosting a Partners in Prevention session, contact Blake Kitterman, Director of Campus Organizing & Training, at blake.kitterman@civicnation.org.
Can Faculty Advisors be present?
We love that faculty advisors are eager to be part of the action! However, our Summit is intended for students and is NOT a professional development opportunity for faculty advisors or other college or university staff. Faculty advisors are welcome, but please know all educational programming is intended to build the knowledge and skills of our It’s On Us student organizers. We encourage attending faculty to bring students along to fully engage in the experience.
What should I bring?
Your enthusiasm! We’ve got lunch and refreshments covered. Don’t forget to pack a pen and paper to jot down all your awesome insights & ideas.
Is there any cost to attend?
Not at all! We’re dedicated to ensuring our national events are accessible for our student organizers. All we ask is that you register and give us the heads-up that you are coming. Your presence is our priority!

Yes, registering is your ticket to all the excitement. It’s super easy – just make sure to sign up here before the closing bell on Friday, April 10 at 11:59 PM ET.

What is the schedule for the Summit?
Get ready for a jam-packed day! Things will kick off with registration starting at 9 AM PT, followed by our first speaker at 10 AM PT. We’ll take a lunch break at 12:30 PM PT to refuel, and the curtains will draw on the Summit at 6 PM PT. Agendas will be distributed upon check-in.
Is it possible to receive continuing education credits?

What meals will be provided?
Lunch and refreshments are on us. Just let us know about any dietary restrictions in your registration form – we want to make sure everyone’s well-fed and happy.
What resources & accommodations will be made available for students?
We’re here to make sure all students feel comfortable and included. Our team is at your service, offering gender-neutral restrooms and ensuring easy access to breakout rooms from the main stage. Just let us know about any specific accommodations you need when you register so we can make sure everything’s ready for you.
What time should I arrive?
The show starts at 9 AM PT, but we’re opening the doors for check-in at 8 AM PT. Arriving a bit early will give you time to grab your badge (and coffee), mingle, and get in the Summit spirit before the excitement kicks off!
